Just Around The Pointe..
We are a Non-Profit Organization

AN INTRODUCTION ABOUT OUR
NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION
Just Around The Pointe was created by Traci Lynn Martin, who has a medical diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis.

"Before my diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis, I was very active and was involved in several different activities.
In 2009 I began developing symptoms of severe joint pain in my feet and ankles and constant fatigue.
By 2010, I was finally diagnosed and was started on medication to prevent any worsening joint damage.

Working as a nurse, I saw many individuals with chronic health conditions and disabilities who had given up. Their lives revolved around going from their bed to their chair, and back to their bed.
My goal is to show individuals, who are living with any kind of chronic health condition and disibility, that their is so much more to life than sitting in your chair and watching t.v.

Mission Statement:
JustAroundThePointe is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing inspiration and motivation to any individual who lives with a chronic health condition or disability, as well as providing them with opportunities to engage in outdoor activities such as kayaking/canoeing, hiking, and camping.

The state of Missouri issued Just Around the Pointe its non-profit status on March 17th, 2016. Charter # N000701406

** We are currently in the process of applying for non-profit tax exemption through the IRS.

I want to inspire others.

Traci Lynn... I think that most of us are born thinking that only "amazing people can do amazing things".

Most individuals seldom see themselves as amazing.
I lived most of my life wishing that I could make a difference in this world and never thought of myself as anything but ordinary.

I have always taken my two boys out camping, backpacking,
and kayaking with me. Its just what I do. I have never thought that it was anything special before.

A life changing moment occurred for me when I was out at a race with my son's several years ago (we had raced together as a team), when a woman walked up to me and said that she thought it was great that I was doing this with my children and she wished that she could do it with her children.

I stayed there and talked with her for awhile and tried to encourage her that she could do anything that I was doing. I told her that most of the time it is just trial and error. But, the more you do it the better you get at it. I walked away feeling good that maybe I had made a difference in her life.
